The Library at Dr. G. W. Williams is a thriving place! The collection has over 12,000 items and includes a wide variety of print, electronic and audio-visual resources. The library also houses a computer lab and laptop lab for class use, plus a drop-in computer area for students working independently.

LIBRARY HOURS:

The Library is usually open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Early closings will occur on occasion for special events, meetings etc. Please check ahead if you are planning after school library.

LIBRARY SERVICES

We provide reference services for students and staff.

We provide instruction on a variety of research related topics:

· searching the internet

· using databases effectively

· the research process

· proper documentation

We provide students with handouts to assist them with the research process, including proper documentation (bibliographies, footnotes/endnotes etc.).

We also participate in the White Pine Reading Club.

CIRCULATION / LOANS :

Students may sign out materials with a valid student card.

Fiction and Non-fiction books 2 week loan

Information File Resources 1 week loan

Magazines/Journals (back issues) 1 week loan

AV resources (videos/DVDs) Overnight loan

Some REFERENCE material may be borrowed overnight by special request.

FINES will be charged on overdue materials:

10 cents per day - maximum $3.00 per item

50 cents per day for overnight loans – max $10.00

50 cents per day for AV materials – max $5.00

* Please note – students will not be allowed to sign out materials if they have overdue books or fines

PRINTING AND PHOTOCOPYING 

Printing on laser jet printer (black & white)– 10 cents per page

Photocopying (black & white) – 10 cents per page
